Discovery Gateway
We have been itching to hit up the Children's museum in Salt Lake recently....so this afternoon was the perfect day! The weather was a bit warmer than colder and the kids had lots of energy. The kids LOVE the "ball" exhibit. I think we spent most of our time at this thing. The best gift you could give a 1 year old is a ball....it keeps them entertained for HOURS!
The second biggest hit is the "kids eye view" section. Tons of things to keep kids busy.....cars to drive...water to play with...walls to climb.....we could go on and on....

Ant Farm
We had one of these a few years ago and it was pretty cool (as adults) to watch ants build tunnels in our "ant farm". At Christmas time we decided to purchase a new ant farm so the kids could have as much enjoyment as we did. We never got around to buying some ants until this past week. Dustin ordered some carpenter ants - and they arrived via USPS alive and well. Zach was pretty excited to watch the ants.....look at him!
We can't wait to see the tunnels they will build in that blue gel!

Monkeys!
Now that Logan "officially" has his own room, Jen has been itching to decorate it ever since she saw this monkey vinyl decal set online. It finally arrived this week and today was the big day that Logan gets his own decorated room. Here is how it turned out:
We LOVED how it turned out. The boys give the monkeys "high-5's" and Zach now has decided he wants "dogs" on the walls of his room. It wasn't difficult at all to install this set - the hard part was keeping a 1 year old and a 3 year old occupied in another part of the house. Dustin did a good job - there was a trip to the park and there was an awesome fort built:

One month later...
After almost a month playing phone tag with the driver's insurance company and the Lehi Police Dept trying to get a copy of the accident report, we finally had everything we needed and the check in hand to get the 4runner fixed.. We of course took the 4-runner to the same shop that has been helping us work on the '58 Chevy "Thunderpig". They have done such a great job on the pickup, that we knew we'd be in good hands for the repair work..
When we arrived at Horvath Hotrods to pick up the 4-runner, Joe had went out of his way to buff the truck for us.. It looked AMAZING. The new bumpers and hitch made it look factory new too! And speaking of factory new.. All of the parts that were replaced came directly from Toyota (thanks to some negotiating Joe did with Toyota to match the prices he was quoted for the reproduction parts)

Friday night fun
Tonight we hit up a place nearby called Incredible Pizza (although I think it was bought out and now is called Party Play?). We heard it was suppose to be something like a Chuck E Cheese...so after work we headed on down. The place wasn't crowded at all when we arrived. In fact the face painter had just finished setting up her booth and she wanted to paint our kids faces for "free" - they both allowed her to do so. We figured she wanted our kids to be models for her to drum up some business...I guess it worked because by the end of the night Zach was playing with two other Spiderman's on the kid gym.
Next up some games - Logan was addicted to skee ball; he would scream and then throw the ball (only about 6 inches) up the ramp. When his balls would run out he would run over to someone else's lane and take one of their skee balls.
Then the kids found the play area - they had this huge gym, that both Logan and Zach could enjoy. They also had a few small car rides for kids and a mini carousel.
Zach was Spiderman and Logan was a Tiger:
The food was decent - buffet style with a salad bar, pasta, calzones, tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, dessert bar...probably a few more things we didn't see either. The kids enjoyed every last bit of it. Then time to hit up the entertainment! First stop - mini golf under a black light. Both Logan and Zach had fun trying to hit the golf balls.
