This was Zach's haul - lots of cars/trucks and a LITTLE bit of candy....
We had been anxiously waiting for Zach to wake up this morning to see what he would do when he saw the Hershey kiss trail. Once he woke up he came running out of his room with two unwrapped kisses, one in each hand. He was excited to show us what he had found. He didn't even realize there were about 15 more kisses and a basket full of other fun stuff for him. We had to point it all out. He would go through things one at a time and make us open up the toy and get it out of the wrapper so he could play with it. He has recently been saying the word "dump" quite a bit (in reference to a dump truck)...so he got a kick out of this toy that was in his basket:
At this point Logan decided he wanted a nap...so the rest of us bundled up and went playing in the snow! First thing Dustin did is hand Zach his snow shovel.....Zach knew exactly what to do with it....we got a good chuckle out of it!
Next on the agenda was some sledding on the side of our house. I think this is the first time we were "happy" to have slight hill on the side of our house. Check out the video:
Next up was of course some snowball fighting....
We got an AWESOME picture of Zach throwing some snow towards Dustin (who had the camera):
Zach did some exploring of the yard in the snow and of course Dustin and Zach did some snow angels!
Since we are HOPING this is the LAST we see of snow until next winter....the boys decided to make a snowman....
...while Jen put the roast in the crock pot for DINNER (yum!)
The last thing we wanted to do for Easter was dye some hard boiled eggs. Since it had been a while since ANY OF US had done this we weren't sure what to expect. Next year we will have to find some "upgraded" egg dye kits. The wax crayon they gave us wasn't that good at keeping the design on the egg and the red/pink color dye didn't do a thing. BUT we still had fun (trying to keep Zach from getting covered head to toe in the dye!)
