The big SURPRISE!

We've been trying to potty train Logan for MONTHS.  I believe we have tried every bribe possible to get this kid to want to go to the potty instead of conveniently using a pull-up.  Guess what worked?  A trip to "Mickey Mouse's House".....

We kept this as a surprise to the kids - when we were exactly going to "Mickey Mouse's House".  So today we hopped on our plane to Orlando for 5 days at Disney World!

Jen's parents were finishing up a cruise in Orlando and planned to meet us for the week adventure...but we didn't tell the kids this.  Zach ended up putting two and two together....."Mom - Grandma and Grandpa Twogood are in Florida are they going with us?"  We are excited to have our kids experience Disney for the first time!

Drive through Payson

Today we drove down to Payson to meet up with Dustin's Aunt Cheryl.  We started the day off with picking up Subway sandwiches and going to this beautiful park to have lunch.  The place was completely empty and all the leaves had fallen from the trees - perfect for little boys to explore!

Group shot!

 Funny face group shot!

We drove up the road a bit to a short hike that Jeanette and Cheryl new about that ended at a small waterfall...

The boys were fascinated with the moss growing on the side of the rocks....

Then we did a scenic loop drive...it was beautiful!  We stopped along the way at a lookout spot and there was some fresh snow on the ground, so of course a snowball fight was started :)

We didn't know this drive existed so close to our home!  Good times today!

Halloween Night!

Time to carve those massive pumpkins we picked out over a month ago!  The boys are always fascinated with the insides of the pumpkins - it is so gooey and there are seeds!

The kids really wanted a "batman" pumpkin this year....so we one faced pumpkin and then another pumpkin with the batman symbol.

Grandma Gray was nice enough to stay and hand out candy to the kids that came trick-or-treating at our house while the rest of us walked around the neighborhood for our own trick-or-treating.  We walked around with our neighbors Lily and Kai.  It is funny to watch the kids go crazy and run house to house (sometimes taking short cuts like Logan in the picture below).  The kids lasted for almost an hour and then they decided they were thirsty and tired and wanted to go home.  We got about 75% of our neighborhood done at that point.

Then it was time to check out the candy haul!  The kids were excited with everything....it was all sugar!

Happy Halloween 2013!

Challenger Halloween Sing

Zach's kindergarten class at Challenger did a quick "Halloween Sing" show.  Grandma and Grandpa Gray made it to town in time to see it!  Dustin dressed up as Fix-it Felix for work....it was PERFECT!

Zach walking in with his classmates...

The whole kindergarten class.  Some of these kids has really creative costumes!

Zach cheesing it up!

We love how confident Zach has been getting with his singing and presentation skills.  Challenger does these kinds of programs three times a school year.

Trunk-or-Treat

This afternoon we had our neighborhood Trunk-or-Treat!  Basically everyone trick or treats in the church parking lot.  Jen decided to try and decorate the back of the Durango.....

Both Dustin and Zach were Spiderman and Logan was the Hulk....

There was a pretty good turn out, about 1/3 of the parking lot was full.

The kids were satisfied with their candy haul....I think half of it was eaten by the time we made it home!

Getting ready for Fall

What a perfect Saturday to hit up the local pumpkin patch for some Fall (soon to be Halloween) decor! We always love hitting up Maybey's to get our pumpkins.  Thank goodness for Facebook - we learned today was their opening day!  Jen's parents were in town visiting this weekend, so they were able to come with us.

Look at those orange beauties!

Dustin picked out a BIG pumpkin - have fun carving that!

That pumpkin pretty much filled the whole wagon!

This is the first year we've seen all the pumpkins still on the vine....way cool!

Logan venturing out to find some more cool pumpkins

Zach was a bit indecisive....

Our final haul...we said we were only going to get 4 pumpkins...um...there are 8 in that wagon.

Photo moment with Grandma and Grandpa Twogood

Strong man is hauling them back to our car...never underestimate the power of a 'batman'

The boys power washed off the front porch and the pumpkins.  They will now reside on our front porch until after Halloween!

How many more pumpkins do you think we will end up with before it actually reaches Halloween?
