Landscaping Upgrades

We decided to do some small upgrades to our landscaping. Seems like everyone on our street had the same idea. With landscapers working on two new yards, one house with a new fence, and a house being built in addition to our work this is what our street looked like today:

Every year we buy new flowers for all our pots and we aren't always the best at remembering to water them. So this year we decided to enhance our sprinkler system to add drip lines to all our bushes, potted plants and potted garden. This would ensure they got all the water they needed when the automatic sprinklers were run on our grass.

We even had drip lines ran through our fence to reach some of the flowers we have hanging off the fence.

We are also in the process of having the legs of our deck covered in stone (we hope that project gets started/completed within a month) - the same stone used in the front of our house. Since the stone columns would need a cement base already, we decided to extend our downstairs concrete back patio out another two feet.

The landscapers had a bit of extra concrete...so we took advantage of it - Dustin made an "extension" to some of the concrete curbing we had in the backyard that was removed with some prior fence issues. Not bad for a rookie!

Jen wanted some flagstone added to the entrance of both our gates to the backyard:

We were VERY happy how everything turned out....now let summer BEGIN!!
